I’m a first time chook owner and I love my girls. I currently have two - a beautiful black Orpington and red head Araucana, who I raised from chicks last October (that’s spring time here in NZ). Sadly, the surrogate mum of these two suddenly died a couple of weeks ago, which made me want to join a support network to make I’m doing my best to be informed about the health and care of these two lovely ladies.
