kidney failure?

I just discovered my brother bought layer feed for our 3 1/4 month old pullets. It is too late to pull it out of the feeders because most of it has been eaten. I read that too much calcium can cause kidney failure. Does anyone know what the symptoms of kidney failure are and how long the pullets have to be on layer feed before damage is apparent?

cassie, at 3 1/4 months of age I doubt any damage will occur from layer ration. Don`t worry about it.....Pop

They should be fine just get starter and stop feeding the layer we started to feed layer at 17 weeks and they are fine
