Killed chickens

I think what you might be dealing with could be a stout (weasel family) or a pine martin. Also wondering if you would be in an area that might have polecats.
If the bites were in the neck area, deffinatly one of these. They would not be big enough to remove the bodies but small enough to squeeze in a pretty small space or gap in your coop or run.
They can be in your area and never be seen by you.
lots of preditors will never be seen by you, thats why i have game cameras up.
sorry about the loss of your silkies.
If you get more chickens, go over your coop carefully and use hardware cloth on all openings.

Hard to see the wound and where it is on the bird.

I live in Geneva Switzerland, and as I wrote there aren't many possibilities. It happened during the day so I don't think it was a fox
Fox can hunt during the day....and they definitely will cache their kill.
Ravens would not bury and I don't think a domestic cat would either.

See any tracks in the snow?
Here's how to add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, (laptop version shown), then it's always there!
