Killing a duck

While there are many people in this forum who raise meat ducks, it might be best to post this in the meat bird forum. I'm sure someone will help you with the quickest, most humane method there.

I'm not sure if this will help but recently someone brought me a catcall bird that had fallen in a silicone solution. I tried literally everything to get it off. The bird was exhausted and suffering. I had it sit on my finger, put a bag over it, and held it up to my car exhaust. It was awful but it was the least horrifying method I could think of.

You could take it to a vet to have it euthanized - that would probably be the least painful way. I'm so sorry, sweetie. :/

Thanks you ,Sorry but this is my pet and she needs to be put out of her misery and I can not do it

So sorry to hear that. :(

We had a duckling that broke her hip and we couldn't splint it, so we had to kill her (Well, that was when i was 10, so dad had to kill her...He cut her head off). To butcher my full grown birds for meat, we cut the jugular and let them bleed out, then cut the head off before de feathering. If you look up videos on youtube, you should be able to find some good info. Sorry this had to happen to you :(
