Kinda silly question

My eldest hen (I've had her for four years but she was already laying when I got her) has taken to eating 9 lives canned cat door every morning with the kittens. The cats don't mind at all and she absolutely loves it! Is it ok for her to be eating it? I know it has a good bit of salt in it and they can get too much, but I hate to take it away from her! Lol

well a cats diet is very different from chickens....its not going to hurt her but it should not be her only diet or even close...she should have that as treat size ....needs feed...jeff
