I just wanna say: I LOVE that cartoon! It's ended now, no new ones, I'd LOVE to have the whole series on DVD someday.

I thought it was really lame when Mike Judge shifted gears from Beavis & Butt-Head to King Of The Hill, but B&BH would never be accepted by the mainstream. (I'd love to have all of B&BH on DVD too.) I grew to love King Of The Hill though, and not only for the subtle humor and quirky characters, like Dale Gribble. I also really miss seeing it because it's a glimpse into a world that didn't used to be fictional, a world where a guy who sells propane and propane accessories could raise a family and own a house. Where guys like Dale and Boomhauer could get by without living under a bridge. None of them are high-spending people, Peggy cooks at home except for the occasional Whataburger dinner, but there's always an extra fruit pie around for Bobby, and no one swears off fishin' for lack of money for gas.

If the series kept on going, I can imagine the guys going over to using bicycles more as things tighten up, and maybe a few rocket stoves and home-heaters appearing in a corner of the propane shop. And Bobby and pals maybe riding their BMXs to the lake and coming back for a stringer of fish, Bobby doing his prop-comic routines lakeside while dinner is caught.

I just do not understand WHY it ended.................probably cause I did like it.

LadyBird, Bobby, Connie, Hank and his flat butt. What a character Dale was and I loved Boomhauer's talk. And Bill who loves Hank's wife Peggy. Oh and John Redcorn.

What a great show.

*sigh*

Yup it was good stuff!

Oh how I wanted the Dallas Cowboys to move their practice to Arlen

LOVE THE SHOW!!!! I thought the last epi was such a good wrap up for the series. Bobby & Hank seeing eye to eye on something. Hank finally being so over the moon proud of something Bobby did, and the family having a BarBQ in the back yard. Just wrapped up lose ends so perfectly. Who knew Boomhauer was a cop?

WHAT?

Must confess, I missed the last season - cannot get it on Hulu yet.

A cop?

I miss watching new King of the Hill episodes too. I didn't like it when it was first on television but I grew to love it. I like all of the characters except for Luanne and sometimes Bobby because he would be such a brat. Otherwise I really enjoy Dale's antics and the fake advertisements that come on between commercials..

I liked the show too. Sad to see it go. I cries when they ended Pushing Daisys. Some really great shows get canned. Makes me sad.

I miss the show, too. It actually espoused some family values on there. Someone told me that the lifestyle they depicted in that show was not too far off of what small town Texas is like, especially in regards to high school football. I don't know, I've never lived there.

I kinda wish that they "grew" Bobby up a little bit and he got to attend high school in the last season or two. It would make sense since Didi was pregnant, the baby born, and I think had a birthday all when Bobby was 13. Bobby was 11 when the show started. I guess they didn't want to take him out of Tom Landry Middle School.

I'm glad they got rid of Cotton, though. I hated that character. I wished they killed him off sooner.
