Hi all. I have 4 5-week-old chicks. A couple of them are starting to figure out roosts (in their brooder, since I haven't introduced them to the Big Girls yet). But I have one who flaps up and knocks the others down when they roost... she doesn't sit on the roosts, but she won't let anyone else, either. Is this normal chick stuff? I don't remember any of my previous chicks doing anything like this . . . thoughts?

One of the others will put her in her place soon enough! Just watch closely so that it doesn't escalate into pecking which can turn bloody and then you have a real mess on your hands...best of luck!! Silly chickens...go figure!
