We purchased a second-hand aviary recently and the three resident king quails were thrown in for free, which we were very excited about. They told us the dark one was a male, and the two light grey ones were female.

Well since then, I have on several occasions observed a grey ‘female’ mating with the dark ‘male’... I have included a photo

. I have also included a photo of all three quails for sexing please.

The first two weeks they got along as a cute little group- the last two days they have all been on edge and taking turns at ganging up on each other. So I really need to get the sexing sorted in case that’s the issue.

In the second photo, the two on the left are for sure males. I'd need a photo of the head of the one on the right (if it's the one in the first or third photo then you have three males).
