KING QUAIL

I had 5 King Quail and I was wondering how to tell if they were female or male, but this morning when I went to feed them 3 of them were laying there dead

. Does this mean they were the male and that the father killed them. He killed 3 and left 2 so does that mean they Quail still alive are the female? I will post a picture of them soon so you can have a look for yourself

This is a picture of them, they aren't usually kept in a cage this small, I just moved them out to be safe If you need a better front on picture just say
