King snake

I discovered a 2 1/2 foot long California King Snake, that is around the area where
Y chickens like to hang out (not in their coop). My question is will either of them hurt each other? Will the chickens kill it. I only have 3 Rhode Island Red laying hens that roam free on 1 1/3 acres.

The snake might eat eggs and young birds, the birds might attempt to eat him but they'll likely avoid each other.

We’ve had 7 different snakes in our yard this year so far. Snakes could eat the eggs (I haven’t seen evidence of this yet) and chickens could kill it (but 2.5 feet is not small). I’ve seen my chickens eat baby snakes before
