Kippers?

Hi everyone! I hope your chooks are keeping well and enjoying the cooler weather.

I don't often give my hens anything leftover but I read that fish is ok to give them and then I heard salt was really really bad.

I gave them some leftover kippers from last night's supper this afternoon and as you can imagine, they devoured them.

I thought it might even be good for them getting a little protien and oily fish in the winter, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

They'll be fine, expecting more kippers but fine.
But they do love fish, it is such a high energy food.
I keep a can of sardines stashed away in case a bird isn't doing well because it is so good and they'll eat fish unless they're almost dead.
That salt though, avoid it as much as you can.
