kitchen scraps?

At what age can my chickens get kitchen scraps? They are four months old now. When they can get scraps, can they have kale stems? We make kale salads almost every night and give the stems to my guinea pigs. Can we do the same for the chickens?

YEs you can introduce the kale now. Add to their regualr pellets so they might get a clue that is food.

Generally, I have found that the sooner you start scraps the better. THey will view new food with suspicion usually and need time to try it.

Hope the bunny will still get a few stems now and then.
