Went to close up the coop this evening and do a basic head count of the flock. Found our 1yr old kitty, Tawnta, in one of the nests snoozing. When he finally got up, I discovered he'd been keeping 3 eggs warm. While this isn't the first time I've caught him trying to hatch eggs (there were some in a tomato planter he was snoozing in this past summer), it is the first time I've caught him in the coop for his nap!

The rare Felis puddycaticus lays it's eggs in the fall, the female then abandons the nest, leaving the male to incubate...in 13 to 18 weeks you will have some brand new baby Felis puddycaticus cubs

I have always been amazed how cats and chickens get along so well. But they do and there is evidence of that over and over again here on this site. Amazing.
