I don’t know how I haven’t heard of the toilet-paper-modeling technique before!I must try this at once!
I’ve had him half a day and he’s never been caught or picked up before, came from a neighbor’s freerange mixed flock. He’s the most docile and friendly chicken I’ve ever seen. I was posing him and he just patiently holds it. He’s a weird bird I think… loves to sleep on my shoulder like a pirates parrot or something. He’ll make a great little indoor pet. No more forgetting to set my alarm clock!

PS: he jumped on that PT roll on my table and hunkered down, obviously liked it so we did a little shoot with it. Not my idea it was his.

WHO IS THIS PRECIOUS LITTLE MAN?!! MUST PICK UP AND SQUEEZE 💕😱😍
No actually, he’s totally bizarre! I have generally between 80-150 breeder and grower birds depending on the time of year (ramping way up on geese in 2025, though so that will double by Summer) so I’m not like, unused to having basically everything. This guy truly is one of a kind. Even for a Banty-cock he’s really really extra friendly and docile. I can’t wait for him to hit full maturity next year, he’s a pretty bird. Currently he is at my feet trying to tidbit some goslings who are about to start yanking his tail out so I’m gonna intervene here but, such a sweet guy!
