Hey everyone. I have a young salmon faverolle cock (less than 3 months old) who I noticed is stumbling/shakey. At first I thought mareks but then I noticed he was the only one. On further observation I saw he was walking on his "heels", with toes up not flattening toes when he walks. I would post a video of him, but I can't. Anyway I also discovered his knees are both buckling out to the side with every step, and I'm sure he's in pain but he doesn't seem too bothered by it. I have no idea what happened, I noticed this behavior less than a week ago and he was totally normal before that.
I have 3 of his brothers and 1 sister all hatched by me, all fine so I'm not sure if it's genetic or an injury. It's like they are dislocating with every step. No idea how he would Injure himself in this way,, the pen in only 3ft tall. I don't want him to have permanent damage, does anyone have an effective method of bracing/splinting dislocated joints? He is the best of the batch, so was planning to keep him for breeding. I would hate to cull if there's a diy method to help him. Please post pictures if you have similar experience and solutions. Thanks everyone.
