LA Area School needs fertilized eggs

Help! Due to a recent developments the school cannot order from the usual supplier. Does anyone know of a place where we can get fertilized chicken eggs in the Los Angeles area? We are willing to make a drive if it’s somewhat close!

You probably couldn't get eggs because of virulent Newcastle Disease.

This is a SERIOUS, incurable virus that has gone uncontrolled in Los Angeles County for at least a year and the contagion is growing. UT is now a contagion zone and a diagnosed case has been found in Alameda County in NoCal. Agricultural authorities are killing even uninfected flocks in some neighborhoods in Los Angeles county.

I know you have a lesson plan you want to execute but I also suspect you don't want to provide new vectors for the infection especially with so many children going home to various neighborhoods. Personally, I'd go to silkworms for this year and hope that aggressive efforts to contain the virus will make hatching classroom eggs a possibility for next year.

California agriculture and commercial egg laying facilities are at stake along with classroom and backyard operations. This has also put a strain on hatcheries who can no longer make deliveries to identified contagion zones.
