A four alarm fire destroyed a barn at a large southeastern Wisconsin egg farm. Estimated 300,000 chickens lost. S&R Egg Farm is a third-generation, family-owned business founded in 1958, the 800 acre farm has 2.4 million hens and produces 2 million eggs a day. They have 14 other barns that weren't damaged. Crews from three counties pumped over 500,000 gallons of water in a 16-hour battle against a blaze. The multi-story two year old barn was 20,000 square feet.
