I recently bought an igloo cube coop after a red mite infestation in our wooden coop. It is high up off the ground. My silkies parachute out of it okay every morning but they won’t go up the ladder. I put them on a step to encourage them to go up but they won’t move from the step other than to see if there is an opportunity for them to get off the ladder on either side. Any tips or ideas on how I get them comfortable with using the ladder at dusk...so they put themselves away at night...woul be gratefully received. I’m worried we have wasted an awful lot of money on something that is not fit for purpose!

Do you have some pictures of coop and existing ladder?
