laid once then havent laid since

This is our first time with chickens and we are learning the ropes as we go. Our chicks just laid their first eggs ( 3 out of 5 chicks) 10 days ago and since then, I have only gotten 1 egg (the same color & size) a day. Is this normal? I have RI Reds, 2 Black Sexlinks & 1 Golden Comet that are @23 weeksold. Fan in the coop, egg layer pellets, fresh water, scratch & just started Oyster Shell. 2 of the eggs were similar looking and pretty good size for first eggs, but none since and the one was a small brown egg, which we get everyday. What is going on? My grandson was so thrilled when he found the eggs. Thanks for any suggestions!

Just be patient, they will get going soon. Young birds lay smaller eggs, they will get bigger with time.

WooHoo....got 2 eggs yesterday! Someone suggested if the fake egg doesn't work, try putting a KFC bucket in the nest box! LOL
