are silver lakenvelders a small breed of chicken because i have some chicks and they are SMALL

They are a small breed. Some say 3 to 4lbs. They are very active birds, which would probably explain the small size. Compared to the New Hampshire Red, they are 3.5 to 4.5 lbs smaller. The NHR rooster is 8.5 lbs and the hen is 6.5 lbs.
