We got some new additions to add in a few weeks. Hopefully these little girls aren’t as skittish when they are out into the run

To help with the skittishness, get a brooder with see through sides like a Hamster cage so they can see you coming and put it on a table so they can see you coming and you aren't towering over them to sweep them up with the hand of fate l. :] cute buggers. Are lakeshore the new 'breed' that lays blue?

Thanks. I’ll give it a shot. These are the only chicks we had that panic when we visit them 🥲. The lakeshore eggers are blue layers from Meyer hatchery. They look like legbars kinda

Oh my word, they're adorable! I'm new to chickens but I've noticed that mine have gone through phases of being skittish and not minding me or even cuddling up with me, I just kind of enjoy the ride and not push it tbh. Lots of treats help. I have a blue laced Wyandotte who has NEVER liked humans but she got pooped on a few weeks ago so I had to give her a bath and blow dry and now she's much calmer with me handling her so I think that was a bonding experience 😅 not saying you should bathe them but maybe as a last resort once they're fully feathered LOL!

Our grown up outside chickens all come running when they see us. If o have a shovel to do some gardening they go crazy, they associate that with me throwing them worms and grubs 🤪🤪. We also have a few varieties of Wyandotte’s and they are perfectly happy if they never see a human ever 😂
