"Lakeshore Eggers" Meyer Hatchery

I would love to see a picture of her eggs too if you could share. :)

She didn't feel like holding still for her photo shoot.

@DobieLover your lakeshore egger is lovely! Thanks for the pics. I’m impressed she likes snow — mine act like its lava. Can’t wait for spring!
Thanks. I like her.
The rest don't mind the snow either. It's all a matter of motivation.

Ha, good point. I'll have to motivate them next time with some scratch! Is your lakeshore egger very people-friendly?

Not particularly. She'll happily eat out of my hand but she isn't one that will come up to me if I have nothing for them to eat.

I added one Lakeshore Egger to my order last April. She was a very friendly and curious chick: one of our favorites. I don't have a solo picure of her on my tablet, but she is in the pic posted, between my Speckled Sussex and Buff Orpington. I think she is lovely!
She hatched on April 2nd and surprised me with her first green egg on my birthday, July 17. She is our most dependable layer. She gets along well in my mixed flock (no problems bullying or getting picked on), and is still curious, but not a lap chicken. She is easy to handle though and does great with my son (not flighty at all). I would recommend giving Lakeshore Eggers a try.
