Cloverbud's bag gets bigger every time I see her and her muscles a little slacker in back. I know it won't be long now before she kids. She's bred to a registered LaMancha buck and I want to get baby registered too. The tattoo kits in Hoegger's are for ears. Can they be adapted for LaManchas or do I have to get something different? The instructions in the catalog specify "ear" and since my goat doesn't have them ....

I know there's a few LaMancha owners out there that showed off their goats when I got mine. Where are you?!

Hmmm, I know they get tattooed on the tail web, but I don't know if you can use the same tool. Fias Co. Farm has a picture tutorial. http://fiascofarm.com/goats/tattoo.htm

Yes, you use the same tool. Just make sure the bottom of the tattoo combination points outward.

I think she's getting close. She was pawing in the straw today and had some kind of liquid (not red) coming out of her vulva. Her udders are even bigger than they were yesterday.
