how much milk should I expect to get from a lamancha goat per milking?

it really depends on a few things.....

mainly her lines- did her mom milk well does she have a good bag attatchment???

and is she a first freshener?

do you have a pic of her bag? sometimes you can tell if she is gonna milk well after the first month after they have freshened

Depends where she is in the lactation cycle. It will peak a month or two after birth and slowly taper off after that. My doe gave almost a gallon a day during peak, but now we get about 3 qts. a day. Most LaManchas won't put out the volume of a Saanen, Togg or Alpine, but it is richer in butterfat, about 3-4% versus 2-3% for Swiss breeds. LaMancha milk is better for cheese and soap making.
