I got 4 little 5 mo old banty hens from a friend. One has a deformed foot (twisted) so she is not doing well. She sits alone a lot .I took her to the vet and she said just wait and see. It was not broken. So then I notice a slight limp in another hen. That was only 4-5 days ago and now it is awful bad. She is top heavy, stays alone (this is #2) She does strange things like spin and is not moving at all like a chicken. The other 2 birds seem fine are active and eating. I checked this #2s feet and see no sign of injury. Should I just put these two lame ones out of their misery or what. Is it contagious???? I do have liquid for coccidosous . I am confused. Thank you for any ideas.

I would put them on some vitamins & Nutri Drench, could be Riboflavin deficiency (Vitamin B)...Vitamin B complex or even PolyVisol (baby drops) without the iron (1 drop 3x day/side of beak) foods rich in riboflavin (boiled egg yolk, plain yogurt, mushrooms, tuna, spinach, etc...)

I'm not sure, guessing from what you're saying. Others should be peeping in with their advice....

I will try some of the food, have not been to the feed store yet. The only vits I have is some rooster booster. I hope more have ideas. Guess I should treat all four of them, since they came together.
