Large storms = coop dismemberment (when you aren't thinking straight)

So... when you forget to nail down all the roof braces on your coop, THIS is what happens....

Fortunately, no one was hurt, and the roof is completely intact.... LESSON LEARNED!

I have 5 friends coming over tonight to help heave it back up there. It's heavy! I tried to move it myself, and that was a no-go!

Glad no one got hurt! Use screws not nails....my husband only uses screws - holds better, lasts a lot longer. Good luck getting it back up where it belongs!

After watching what mine was doing in a wind storm the other night and mine is nailed down and didnt like what I saw thought it was still going to go.....I threw tires up there to hold it down till I can get some hurricane straps to add to it....Thought forsure it was going to go had to move the goats just incase it did go....

Yikes! At least it seems the roof is well made... it stayed together. Just that one small detail of putting it on all the way! lol.

Might look into some hurricane strapping to help keep it attached.
