I posted yesterday about my black sexlink, Lady. She had a nasty case of watery stool for a few days. After Epsom salt soaks, Greek yogurt and some nutridrench she seemed much improved.
Then she laid this just an hour ago.
I first was sure it was a lash egg but when I cut it open all that was inside the thin, rubbery membrane was egg white? There was a little white in the hay with a single blood spot.
Obviously, if it's a lash egg I'll try antibiotics but could it be a fluke? She always lays beautiful, large eggs (daily) Prior to the diarrhea she laid literally about every day in the sunny months and every other throughout most of fall/ winter. Never malformed or soft shelled before
