We have 2 rirs. One started laying about a month ago and the other a week later. We had 1 day this week with no eggs (normal), one egg yesterday and one this morning. When cleaning up the droppings, I found this! The dropping area was a bit wetter than usual as well. I feed them a layer crumble from rural king, a free range seed mix from manna pro and they have a tray of oster and egg shells.
How concerned should I be about this?

Lash eggs are meatier looking than that. I've had an egg like yours from one of my girls once and she only did it the once. New layers often make odd eggs as their systems get themselves in order. I wouldn't be too concerned.

Thank you! That's what I was feeling too. All the lash eggs I have been seeing were more solid. This is almost just a inner membrane and white. It doesn't even look like there is a yolk.
I am one of those paranoid chicken moms lol.

Don't worry - when my girl laid one like yours I kinda freaked out too and went into research overdrive.
