Last egg hatched with help

the last egg hatched but needed help. Mama just pushed the egg towards me... I've been sitting stroking her all afternoon... And there was a hole with a beak and u that was it. No movement for ages... So I don't know if she thought I could do something or if she was rejecting it (my soft side is going with the first). I read through as many assisted hatching articles as I could as quickly as I could and after we had half the chick loose it was pretty evident the chick was too big for its shell. The bottom of the egg was still attached so I left it and popped her back under mum who seemed ok with that.

I'm just so worried she won't make it. The bottom of the shell came off cleanly but I am convinced I've done the wrong thing although when I loosened so of the shell she seemed to breath better.

I guess time will tell but I think we'll lose her. Her feet were HUGE and her head tiny.

Guess who made it through the night. A pure yellow chick with big feet now called Lucky - I cannot believe she made it!!
