Last of the old year, first of the new

Happy New Year everyone! Today I freshened my pen areas for my younger birds. I brought in heated water dishes, even though the weather is in the 40's. I refilled all the food barrels (metal trash cans) with feed. I am happy with all my chickens, and look forward to a nice 2024!

The unseasonably warm temps are making some buds on some shrubs/trees start to swell. This could be a DISASTER for fruit crops.

Really, REALLY hoping for colder weather!

This doesn’t sound good for all of my fruit trees and bushes either.
