This is my first time hatching eggs and I have 10 eggs in the incubator, which is homemade. We have a thermometer and the temperature has stayed consistent at just under 100 F. However, there is not a hygrometer in there- yes, I know humidity is important and I should have one. Anyways, the eggs should’ve started to hatch 26th/27th and not a single one of them has pipped. I’ve candled them before lockdown and they were right in track as far as developing goes. I guess my question is how long should I wait until I know for sure the eggs aren’t going to hatch? image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

I candles them, but I dont think I saw movement of internal pips (I’m not experienced with this though) They all have a large dark spot where the chick is partially formed though
Can you mabye take some pictures?
At this point in incubation the egg should be almost completely dark except for the air cell. They may not have been fertilized and you may be seeing the yolk. If all the eggs look like this, they either weren’t fertile to begin with, or died early in incubation for one reason or another.

These are two different eggs (the second picture isn’t that great) I think maybe they died early in incubation like you suggested

I’m sorry :hugs mabye you can try again and get a good hatch rate. If you want, you can crack those eggs open and look for a possible cause of death. It sounds gruesome, but it can be quite rewarding for future hatches.

I guess that’s kinda to be expected for a first time hatcher:hit. What kind of things would I be looking for if I did try and find COD:th
