Late hatchers

Any idea on the gender of these two mutts ? the first one is 8 weeks the second one is 11 weeks.

I'm going to say the first one is a Pullet and the second one is as well.

I know that the second one has a very red face and such, but it doesn't have the feathering of a cockerel unless I'm seeing things wrong.

Agreed. Both are pullets.

Do you know if the bottom one is mixed with a Delaware, it has similar coloring and markings as a Delaware. That's why I said it's Pullet because my Delaware pullet was red in the face as long as I can remember.

no idea sadly when i bought 20 chickens 5 years ago i picked one of each breed and have let nature take it's course from that day

Interesting! I love the feathered feet. I mixed some of my breeds that I have right now and I have some very interesting chicks that have hatched.
