I let my hens out every morning to free range just before sunrise. All but three are eager to get out in the yard. Every morning it's the same three hens "sleeping in." They'll emerge from their house about 30 minutes later and join the rest of the hens. All my hens are in excellent health. Does anyone else have late sleepers?

Mine don't have the luxury of free range, but they do have an outside run. They roost on a ladder at various heights and they won't fly down in the morning until I turn on the light. Then they head straight for the chow. They'd better lay at 20 weeks and earn their keep. The BA's are the best of the mix so far.
