Help and suggestions needed. My Turkey won't eat or barely stand up. He lays on the ground with his neck stretched out on the ground. I thought he was dead when I walked up to him. I can get him to stand up but he almost seems drunk. He stumbles, has a limp neck & wont eat or drink without the help of me and wont stand for very long. I've separated him from my chickens. He's in a clean, shaded environment. I've hand feed him some scramble eggs and got him to drink some molasses water but he don't seem to be getting much better. It's been several days now. He's my pet, I'm not raising him to eat...please help!

He's a year old. I'm just so sad and don't know what to do. He was standing up and ate pretty good last night. I've been cooking him eggs and hand feeding him but he still is not back to normal.

Not much you can do. They are bred to be butchered young and not to survive. Some have successfully kept them alive for a few years with a diet and exercise, but they start that young generally. All that meat is hard on their hearts.
