I've got 3 younger lavs. The smallest one slipped between my feet into the feed room where I have a silkie pair. The silkie roo who is 6 months and hormonal jumped her! Grabbed her neck and mounted her. She's the smallest of the 3 at 16weeks. The day after her neck was twisted and she couldn't connect with the scratch I threw out. Yesterday her neck is worse and she takes spells "flopping" around. I've had them all since 1 day old and never has she had any funny business about her :(((( today I started giving her vitamin e and sunflowers with a dropper and also some electrolytes. I'm so upset as these are my babies amongst all of my birds! When I hold her up her legs tremble/ twitch and I'm terrified it's nerve damage but how can I tell vs wry neck? Is there any hope?! I want to put her out of her misery but I'm not one to give up :( please help!

I would also give her something that contains vitamin B1 or thiamine, which is found in most poultry vitamins, B complex tablets, beef liver, yogurt, and many other foods. A twisted neck or wry neck can be a sign of some infectious diseases such as Mareks disease and others, as well as wry neck from a head or neck injury or a vitamin deficiency. I would give her some time to recover, or see if she gets worse. make sure that you help her get enough to eat and drink, or help her.

Can you post a video of her?

Wry neck is a neurological condition caused by injury/head trauma, vitamin E deficiency and certain diseases like Marek's, Newcastle and others. Could be that she suffered injury/damage while being mounted or stress from being "jumped" caused an underlying disease to present itself.

Do the best you can - provide her with the Vitamin E, Selenium and B Vitamins. Selenium can be found in eggs.
If she is in bad enough shape that you are considering putting her down, then that may be the kindest thing to do - if so, sending her for testing/necropsy would be a good idea. I'm assuming you are in Boone, NC(?)

I wish I could post a vid but uploading pictures takes me forever as I'm posting from a cell and our service is horrible here. I would put myself down if it was mareks! Surely it's not... I'll be looking for a vitamin supplement. If I hold her upside down (seems awful but I had to try) she will drink. When I hold her naturally her head spins. I truly think it's the silkies fault! After it happened she was roosting on the coop floor and I didn't think much of it. They are about the same size but he's stout and well, she's a very gentle ameraucana. I'm ill over the whole thing... and on top of that out of the 4 youngsters (Cloudy is a few months older than the 3) I'm fairly certain this one is a pullet like Cloudy. My ameraucana roo leaves the young ones alone. If it's nerve damage is there any hope? She's not having tremors it's just her legs when I pick her up :( I've had her separated so maybe she can rest. Everything looks normal her eyes too. How much fluids do I need to give her? I've got syringes handy. Ugh this is awful!

I ended up taking her to the local vet. He's retired but I trust him. We put her down :( he said her neck was broke. I cried over it today. Stupid silkie! I posted a pic of the silkie pair the other day asking friends what to name them. This was before all this- and their names are now Harvey and Irma. The shoe fits! I guess things happen for a reason... my second hatch started last night and all of my ameraucana black splits are girls except 1. I'm sad about my little pullet but at least I can look forward to these new babies

Yea I thought she wouldn't be able to move with it broken but he said it was because of nerve damage. I have no idea honestly but she seemed to be in pain :( I had to take her I couldn't stand for her to suffer
