I change my mind. I think they're both pullets. The one with the bigger and redder comb and wattles is probably just developing faster, I don't see any male specific feathering. You have a pullet and a cockerel.

No, none.17 weeks and no crowing?
No, none.
1 pullet, & 1 cockerel.I purchased two lavender Orpington pullets at 11 weeks - now they are just shy of 17 weeks and developing very differently- making me question if I have a Roo.
Here's my boy and girl next to each other tonight. They're 8 weeks.Oh man, I just posted my two and they are 8-9 weeks and both have reddish larger combs and waddles. If yours is 17 weeks and the one doesn’t have any yet like mine then I’m afraid both of mine are Roos as well and I also cannot have them. I’m going to keep waiting a bit as we are trying to get a house outside of town so then it won’t matter but if we don’t then I’m in the same boat as you except my neighbor right around me probably won’t care but the ones a couple houses down definitely will. I’m super bummed out now.
