I got these girls as 20wk pullets in October. They are probably 6 months or so now. Not laying yet. Do they look like breed standard?

They are fat, happy, and fluffy.

Wont sit still for a good picture.

LO take a very long time before laying. I have gotten other hens at the same time the other hens will lay before the LO, but just enjoy their beauty. And don't be surprised how small the LO eggs are when they first lay.

I had gotten my LO in May, They finally laid enough to fill an incubator for New year's hatch.

Oh wow. They are small. How old were they when they finally starting laying? Did you get them as pullets or chicks?

They are very pretty,and have been getting rather fat and fluffy.

I enjoy their personality more than their looks though. I had americana (spelling?) Chickens before and the personalities were totally different. The LO are very docile and a little bit dumb in comparison.

I got my LO as chicks they just started to lay with in the last month...
The blue eggs was a bluebelle egger that was a year old.

below are 2 chicks I hatched a blue belle egger, and a LO (same dad. He was blue EE with feathered legs).
Hard to tell from this pic both are scrunching, but the chick on the left is much bigger.

The big egg did take longer to hatch though...

They started to lay after 7 months.

So cute <3 I hatched chickens when I was in college. At the time I was into nankins.

Maybe I can convince my husband to let me get some chicks
