Hi
I was recently sold three lavender coloured blue egg layers. I know they are not pure bred as they are all quite different from each other regarding ears and beards and whiskers, but my main worry is that the little one--pullet three is not a pullet but a rooster masquerading as one. It looks roo-ish to me. I have looked at its neck feathers and they were round but I'm not entirely convinced. Does anyone know if it is a he or she?

Looks like my lavendel tailed araucanas from US... But if you are from america or something i guess ameraucana... Pullet.

Thanks!

I was really worried that the little guy in the third pic was a lad as her face was red.

I'm from New Zealand, hens similar to these are called lavender aracaunas, but as I've been looking at this site I think they are more like Ameracaunas, but I don't think these are pure bred(my son is reading over my shoulder and says they're mudbloods-too much Harry potter) as they have slightly different faces from each other. (still very cute) I am glad you think the third pic is a pullet and not a roo as I bought it as a pullet and I would be really disappointed to wake up one morning to it crowing (my son says and having sex with all the girl ones)

So I'm going to call them Hen Solo, Henrietta and Henderson.
