How long do you need to wait after fertilizing your lawn with chemicals before the grass is safe for chickens.
I am talking about scotts turf builder . I did not use the weed and feed stuff.

We wait to put our horses and cows out to the pasture until it rains after we fertilize so I'd say after it rains

ummm just get more chickens- they will fertilze your yard enough! Or get some ducks!

Seriously though we are already mowing every week! Our yard is the greenest and thickest around and it is all because we have 30 chickens and 10 ducks free ranging! And you don't have to worry about chemicals on your lawn, and you aren't out the expense!
