My Sussex come directly from Greenfire Farms, they are HUGE birds that are super docile and gentle. I have never been flogged by Winston, my Light Sussex rooster. He is very kingly and goes prancing around his pen showing off to his ladies. I have been getting around 6 eggs daily from the girls, so the eggs will be as fresh as possible. I will try and include extras, IF I have them before shipment. I cannot guarentee your hatch rate due to issues out of my control. I also do not mark my packages, unless the customer requests it. I find that the P.O. tends to treat them bad if they are labeled "HATCHING EGGS", FRAGILE, Handle w/ Care....etc. I ship Priority Mail, Monday through Wednesday. I do not like to ship later in the week as they have a better chance of sitting in the P.O. over the weekend. If you are fairly close then I will consider shipping later in the week if requested.
I have been having GREAT hatch rates with my birds. They chicks have all been big, fat, healthy, robust babies. I have some really good look'in babies growing out. Both my Coro and Light hens are laying, but you will probably get more Lights. Out of the 6-8 chicks I've hatched out, only one was a Coronation, the others were Lights. They are the sweetest babies and love attention. They will eat out of my hand and beg for attention. They are a very big bird, they usually grow pretty slow, but they could be used as a meat bird. These birds are giant and stately, they are absolutely breath taking when you see them prancing around your yard of barnyard You will not be dissapointed with these babies. Use them for meat, eggs, pets, or Lawn Decor!
