We do not use lawn treatments, but have used chemicals to kill brush and poison ivy. Now we have chickens and the hang in some of these areas. Is there anything we can safely use to kill the weeds and poison ivy that won't harm the hens or their eggs?

I pen the chickens up for a while after putting down chemicals, especially lawn chemicals that are granular because it looks too much like chicken feed to them. If you're just spraying Roundup on poison ivy, I wouldn't worry about it as much because the chickens aren't interested in that plant anyway. But I'd keep them off the grass for a while if you spray it.
