My wife has recently gotten very smitten with bantams and now we have bantam cochins, silkies, d'uccles, and sebrights. They have their own coop separate from our full size flock and everyone seems quite happy, especially my wife. My question is about the lay boxes for these little guys. For my full size chickens I use 5 gallon buckets that work out fine, but the bantams just look so tiny in those buckets. So what do you all use for your bantam lay boxes? I guess I could just use smaller buckets but any ideas would be appreciated.

I was wondering about the size too. My shelves are 22" wide. Would 11" wide boxes be good? Were making a coop out of an entertainment center so I have to work with what I got. It's a girl scout project.
