My 4 Production Red hens are 20 weeks old and laying...
We're very happy

Their appetites have gotten much bigger this past week and they are doing great!

They have Layer Crumbles and water available 24/7...they also have access to a large enclosure
to free-range morning and late-afternoon for an hour or so.

Should I provide grit as well?

Oyster shell for calcium?

I don't want them getting impacted crops or sour crops hence my questions?

How would you advise?

A little oyster shell on the side is a good thing. They'll eat it when they want it.

If they're on the ground then chances are they won't need grit. You can offer it as well if you really want to, but if they're on the dirt then they usually take care of that themselves.

Green feed is always a good thing.
