Layer roosters finished with cornish x?

I have 12 RIR mutt roosters that I hatched, they are crossed with heavies. Have any of you put them in with your meaties to finish them? The mutts are 2 weeks older than the meaties, but of course the meaties are as big as they are. Just wondering if you can finish them on broiler feed also? Thanks in advance for the info!

I'm not really sure, but it sure seems like you could! I don't see any reason they couldn't eat the same feed as the meaties.

ETA - Watch out for the standard birds to pick on the meaties... I know they do that often.

Looking at the bottoms on the meat chickens that is what I think every time!

I put the roo's on the broiler feed from day one till slaughter

Depending on the size, 16-20 weeks. Of course they will be tougher the longer they grow out.
