I searched and searched the past topics, and am sure this topic has been covered many times, but here goes.... My 7 laying hens (in the past I would get 5-6 eggs a day from) have practically stopped laying. I believe 2 may have stopped laying entirely, due to age, but the other 5? I am getting 1 or 2 eggs a day! I am fairly new to chickens, and just thought I would go along happily collecting eggs. So my question is, is there any illness or any other factors that could slow them down so much? I don't see anything visibly wrong with them, could there be something I am missing? The weather is very nice, no big changes, 50 or so at night, 70 - 80 in the day. I did have a new group of chickens, now 14 weeks old, just recently blended in with them, they each have their own roosts, just share the outdoor coop. Any ideas?

I have no answers, but would like to add a question. If there is a molt coming, is there a way to know that is coming? Or how long will it be until we see feather loss so we know the molt is the cause of reduced production? Thanks.
