laying after a move

is there any rule of thumb as to how long it takes hens to get comfortable after a move to start laying?

Not sure. I'm still new to the backyard chicken thing we rescued ours from a pond in our neighborhood and we didnt even know how old she was. Unexpectedly she started laying about 3 weeks after we got her. And she has been laying almost an egg a day since
