Laying at the same time

Not so much a question as a comment - my girls are just starting to lay eggs and its so weird - they will sit right next to each other in the sandbox, lay their eggs at the same time, and then make their egg call at the same time. Do yours do that? I'm loving all the quirky things I'm finding out about quail.

Mine aren't that synchronised. They lay between 3 and 8 pm.

Buttons can indeed go broody. It's extremely rare, but I did have a happy mom sit and hatch out all 6 of th eggs that she didn't kick out. I was surprised at how attentive the male was -- they both let the chicks brood under them! <3
