laying boxes

We are thinking of using old kitchen drawers as our boxes, just wondering how many we need for 25 chicks 1 ft x 1 ft or should we put a divider in between each

The general rule on that is to build one box per 4-6 hens, or about 5 nest boxes per 25 hens.

The reality is they will stand in line for their favorite one, so my final answer is at least 4 boxes and no more than 6.
