One of my hens laid her egg from one of the highest roosts in the coop this morning. Their coop is a shed, so it was pretty high, and obviously it fell and broke on the floor. It was one of my 16 week old Tetra Tints. One of them has already started laying and has always laid in the nesting boxes, and it looked like the egg had a soft shell, so I'm thinking it was the one who hadn't started laying already, and it was her first egg. I already have hard-boiled eggs in all of their nesting boxes to encourage them to lay there. Is there anything else I can do to keep them from laying off the roost again?
