Laying eggs in window wells.

I am keeping my daughter's chickens, while they wait on an ordinance change where they live. My two bantam hens are often laying eggs in my window wells. I realize I can cover the wells, but would like to know how to coax them to lay in the coop.

Keep them locked in the coop for a week. Leave a couple golf balls in each nest.
